Rex Healthcare exists to deliver excellence in healthcare to people in our community. Every day, Rex physicians, co-workers and volunteers take our mission beyond the walls of the hospital and into the community. Rex sponsors many health outreach initiatives and is committed to being an outstanding corporate community citizen in the arenas of education, economic development, the arts, as well as health and human services. Community benefits/relations are designed to prevent illness, promote wellness, and for Rex Healthcare to be an integrated part of the community where we live and work. Rex Healthcare spends more than $70 million to improve the health of the community including charity care for patients who are unable to pay. In fact, Rex spends more than $125,000 each and every day providing charity care to patients. So while Rex is in the business of mending hearts, we also aim to touch them.
