Rex Healthcare of Wakefield
Rex Cancer Center of Wakefield: Featuring innovative therapies in hematology/oncology and
advanced technology in radiation/oncology in a multidisciplinary setting. Rex Cancer Centers are affiliated with the nationally-recognized North Carolina Cancer Hospital and the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center in Chapel Hill.
Diagnostic Testing: Services include extra large Open Bore MRI which allows more than 60 percent
of scans to be performed with the patient’s head outside of the equipment. Other procedures include
digital mammography*, echocardiography, x-ray, CT scans, ultrasound and bone density testing.

Rex Family Practice of Wakefield: Our spacious and family friendly practice offers preventive care, management of chronic health conditions and care for acute health problems ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, including physicals for school and sports.
Sleep Disorders Center: We’re here to help you get a good night’s rest. We offer overnight sleep
studies to monitor brain activity, body systems and sleep stages. All studies are overseen by a
board certified sleep physician.
Lab Services: Offering high quality tests to help your physician screen for, diagnose, and manage
the treatment of health problems. Services include specialized pediatric phlebotomy.
